Washington Colony Welcomes Stephanie Verners to Our Family!
What a privilege to be selected as Learning Director/English Language Learner Support at Washington Colony Elementary! I come to Washington Colony with 11 years of educational experience. I began my teaching career at Rafer Johnson Jr. High in Kingsburg, where I taught Algebra and AVID. The past two years I have been a Mathematics Consultant for the Fresno County Office of Education. During that time, I had the opportunity to provide mathematics workshops throughout the county, work in several school districts assisting teachers in mathematics (including Washington Colony), and producing the Math on Call-Homework Hotline Program.
My goal is to lead in a way that helps young people develop into strong, confident, moral, and productive citizens. My vision for Washington Colony Elementary is for it to become a Distinguished School in Fresno County. I look forward to working in a community that values education and making a difference in the lives of our students.
I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, Brandon and two
sons, Bodhi and Maddox. When time permits, I also enjoy
quilting blankets for loved ones, reading and painting!
